Kent Island Estates Community Association (KIECA)

KIECA provides opportunities for residents to get to know one another, learn about and discussions issues of importance to the community, and participate in a variety of community events and activities.

KIECA volunteers plan events and activities to bring neighbors together for dinners, BBQs, family movie nights, speakers and a variety of special events throughout the year. Every summer we co-host the popular July 4th Parade and Youth Fishing Derby. Community Meetings are held at the hall to give people information and a voice on topics that are important to residents, such as the South Kent Island Sewer Project.

KIECA Dues

All residents are encouraged to join KIECA for just $25 a year. Your dues provide funding for the website and other communication to residents, maintenance of the community hall, and a variety of community activities and events during the year. The Association mails all property owners an annual letter including a newsletter, a dues invoice, and announcement of the Annual Meeting.

Board of Directors

KIECA is managed by a Board of Directors, elected each year at the Annual Meeting in June. Residents are encouraged to get involved, take a turn on the Board and help to make this a great community for all. The Board establishes an operating budget that is presented and approved at the Annual Meeting. Your dues plus various fundraisers provide the income needed to cover expenses and maintain a reserve for capital projects related to the hall. KIECA Board Officers are:

Bill Doucet, President  kieheronherold@gmail.com

Alanna Giebler, Secretary

Volunteer Opportunities

The best way to get involved in our community is to volunteer a bit of your time.  We’re an easy-going group of neighbors so there’s no pressure – just a lot of fun and fellowship. Please call any Board Officer for information about opportunities to get involved in your community.

* Help Plan and Organize Community Events

Get together with a team to help with family dinners, kids events and community meetings. You can set up, decorate, cook, serve, judge entries, take tickets or just be there to mingle and greet people as they arrive.

* Participate on the KIECA Board of Directors

The KIECA Board meets monthly on the second Monday evening to discuss and take action on matters of importance to the community, review budgets, plan events and fundraisers and oversee maintenance of the Community Hall.  All Kent Island Estates residents are invited and encouraged to attend the monthly Board meetings and the Annual Meeting in June.
